Planning and Development

The Committee considers and makes representations on;-

• Planning applications to Sevenoaks District and Kent County Councils
• Planning appeals to the Planning Inspectorate
• Tree Preservation orders and notices for work on trees in the Conservation Area
• Applications for Conversation Area consent
• Applications for listed buildings consent
• Applications for advertising consent
• Agricultural Consent
• Licensing Matters (including street furniture)
• Planning consultation documents including minerals and water management

In 2017 the Council consulted with residents in Westerham and Crockham Hill and working groups were set up in both areas. The end result is the Westerham Village Design Statement which has been adopted by Sevenoaks District Council as a supplementary Planning document.
