MyCommunityVoice (MCV) Description: Welcome to My Community Voice

My Community Voice is a messaging service that helps Kent and Medway residents, businesses, and community groups to keep in touch with their local policing teams. The service sends updates about your local area directly from the police officers themselves.

My Community Voice is more than just a messaging service; it allows you to reply to the alerts we send you, share information and tell us about the issues affecting you.

We are committed to engaging with communities to increase trust and confidence and to help protect people from harm. Police, partners and the public working together can build resilient and safe communities, and both reduce and prevent crime.

Country Eye App

Country Eye App is a free download for Android and Apple users. It records and disseminates information using a smart phone’s camera and GPS location settings.

The app has been built to help Kent residents receive and report information quickly and efficiently. It allows users to record and share information on crime, suspicious behaviour and damage in their home community or whilst out and about.

The Country Eye team analyse the information and disseminate it as appropriate. This may include email, text or broadcast to other subscriber’s smart phones.

The Country Eye app identifies 10 different Categories:

1. Animal and Wildlife Crime
2. Aviation
3. Farm Crime
4. Fly Tipping
5. Heritage Crime
6. Kent Fire & Rescue
7. Maritime
8. Missing Persons
9. Potholes
10. Theft

More categories are being added soon.

Sign up is simple; the system requires a contact number, email address and postcode. Personal preferences can be set to enable the location finder and the users chosen radius of information.

Recording information is intuitive; click the camera icon, take an image, fill in the type of crime, whether you have a crime number, and any other useful information. The location, time and date will be automatically recorded.

Success for the Country Eye App.
Recently, a Country Eye App user took an image of a suspicious car with four occupants which had driven onto her land. It seemed odd that this car should be where it was so she reported the sighting via the country Eye app.
The Country Eye team reported the car to the Kent Police Rural Team who alerted their colleagues. The car was stopped and items were found that had been reported stolen. Enquiries are ongoing.
